CHECK IMAGING

Instead of returning the original cancelled checks, customers with Personal Checking accounts receive "Check Imaging". These are computer-generated scans of your original checks, presented in your bank statement.

Check Imaging is a time and money saving process that will take us into the next century. While it is true Check Imaging saves the Bank money, it also brings our customers several benefits. First, the imaged checks are presented in an easy to file format with each Personal Checking bank statement. Rather than having many pieces of paper to file, you have only one or two. We think this will save you time and effort. Secondly, Check Imaging is available through our Internet Banking interface. Finally, because we realize several efficiencies that help keep our operating costs down. The lower our operating costs, the better we can serve our customers and control or eliminate charges for special and additional services. We saw Check Imaging as an improvement in service for our customers. Check Imaging is free.

A: The bank has a state of the art imaging system which assures high quality images of your checks. Unclear images could be the result of light colored ink or a worn ribbon used on the original check. We recommend that you write checks with black or blue ink. All bank checks are designed to produce clear images.
